NEW YORK, May 7 (Reuters) – American Electric Power Co Inc planned to close the 690-megawatt Oklaunion coal-fired power station in Texas forward May 7-8 to fix a tube leak, the company told Texas regulators in a account.

Earlier in the week, the company said the unit was to going off an outage on May 6-7 after shutting May 2-3 to make firm a hot reheat steam leak.

Oklaunion is located near Vernon in Wilbarger County not far from 190 miles (305 km) northwest of Dallas.
